Paul Rudd will kick off Phase 3 of Marvel’s “Avengers Initiative” as “Ant-Man”

In Edgar Wright’s “Ant-Man” Rudd will be playing the role of Hank Pym, a biophysicist who discovers a new variation of particles that can be used to alter one’s size and invents a helmet to communicate with ants. In the comics, Pym would ultimately be known as the creator of Ultron, but Pym’s character will not be present in “The Avengers: Age of Ultron.”

“Ant-Man” will be directed and written by Edgar Wright and will be ready for release in May 2015.
