The Dragon Warrior’s journey continues. A blast from Po’s past arrives in the Valley of Peace and spurs a grand adventure whisking Po to a world he has never known before, however a new adversary arises wielding powers the likes of which China has never seen before. Reunited with his panda clan, Po must lead the Furious Five and his family into battle against the wicked Kai. Kung Fu Panda 3 will be the first (official) film of the week in this new year and I for one am certainly looking forward to it!
What am I expecting to see?: The Kung Fu Panda series from DreamWorks has been one of my favorite animated adventures featuring thrilling action and sensible humor. The voices of Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman, Seth Rogen, Jackie Chan, Lucy Liu, David Cross, James Hong have never disappointed in providing the right tone for their respective characters and I feel that the new additions including Bryan Cranston, Kate Hudson and J.K. Simmons will bring more fun to such a fun franchise. I think directors Alessandro Carloni and Jennifer Yuh and writers Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger are poised to deliver the first cinematic hit of 2016.
