The Force Awakens. Stronger than Ever.

My stance on the new Star Wars movies remain constant: THEY SHOULDN’T BE HAPPENING!!! The prophecy has been fulfilled, the Sith are gone since Anakin killed Darth Sidious in Return of the Jedi, the Empire should be dissolved and the Jedi religion should be resurgent since Luke Skywalker is the last of the Jedi, but NO! Disney buys Lucasfilm and a new trilogy is under way starting with Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens. A new trailer for the film has just been released, offering fans of the franchise a new look at what takes place 30 years post-Return of the Jedi. I’m already committed to roll out of bed and see this movie and this new trailer is just a teaser.

J.J. Abrams is directing and co-wrote the screenplay with Lawrence Kasdan. The old guard from the original Star Wars trilogy, including Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford, Peter Mayhew, Kenny Baker and Anthony Daniels, will join forces with John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Domhnall Gleeson, Oscar Isaac, Gwendoline Christie, Lupita Nyong’o, Max von Sydow, Adam Driver and Andy Serkis. Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens will make it into theaters on December 18, 2015.
