Wolverine: a bridge between the Days of Future Past.

Throughout the entire X-Men film franchise, Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine has been a key staple for his remarkable ability to heal and in the new feature “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” that ability is key for the survival of the mutant race. The cast of the original “X-Men” trilogy, including Jackman, Halle Berry, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellan, Shawn Ashmore, Ellen Page, Anna Paquin and Daniel Cudmore, find themselves in the fight for the survival of their species and the key to victory lies in the past. Wolverine is psychically sent back in time to find the younger Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr, played by James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender, and recruit a team to diffuse the Bolivar Trask’s Sentinel threat before mutants and humanity are pushed to the point of oblivion. This new trailer is a bit lighter in tone compared to the previous two, but features Wolverine more and sheds a brighter light on the plot of the story.

“X-Men: Days of Future Past” is directed by Brian Singer and written for the screen by Simon Kinberg. The film also stars Jennifer Lawrence, Lucas Till, Nicholas Hoult, Omar Sy, Bingbing Fan, Peter Dinklage and Evan Peters and will arrive in theaters on May 23, 2014.
