DC’s loss seems to be Marvel’s gain

With the Superman-Batman project pushed back to 2016, Marvel has decided to seize the initiative to accelerate its timetable. In 2015, Phase 2 of Marvel’s Avengers Initiative comes to a close with Earth’s Mightiest Heroes clashing with a maniacal mechanical monstrosity, in “The Avengers: Age of Ultron.” Fortunately for fans of Marvel’s ambitious and exciting undertaking, the wait to begin Phase 3 of the sweeping project won’t take long, for Edgar Wright’s “Ant-Man” has decided to move into the release date previously occupied by the highly anticipated sequel to “Man of Steel.”

“Ant-Man” will charge into theaters in 2015.

“The Avengers: Age of Ultron” is directed by Joss Whedon and stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Samuel L. Jackson, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, James Spader as Ultron and newcomer Thomas Kretschmann as Baron Wolfgang von Strucker and is set for release in May 2015. “Ant-Man” stars Michael Douglas and Paul Rudd, and will be released in July 2015.
